3. Patience is required
As if there aren’t enough new things to experience with a toddler during a normal day, taking him across five time zones will certainly test your resolve.
If you’re used to traveling at your own pace and going long hours without having to stop, traveling with a young child will be much slower.
And that’s okay.
After all, it was your idea to bring your toddler along, not his. So be patient and give him an extra measure of grace.
But also know that you don’t have to spend every hour inside your hotel or Air BnB waiting for him to adjust.
One thing I’ve learned as a young father is that children are incredibly resilient. So allow yourself to do some adventuring, just make sure you are leaving enough time for your little one to absorb the big world around him.
