Some people thought we were crazy for doing it, but we did it anyway.
And out of it came some wonderful memories, as well as several lessons that we will definitely remember forever.
My wife and I had the opportunity to visit Ireland this summer when her younger brother married a gal from Belfast.
In the months leading up to the trip, we were confronted with having to decide whether or not to bring our would-be one year old son on our cross-Atlantic adventure.
The thought of leaving him behind was difficult to say the least, but we also knew we had several loving family members we could trust if we decided to go that route.
Ultimately, we decided to bring our son along for the trip, opting to take up the challenge of travelling with a toddler and hoping to create some fond memories in our endeavor.
And…… well………. here is what we learned.
