Sea of Galilee
The Kinneret, as the natives call it, is the largest freshwater lake in Israel. It is a major water source for the region with lots of history.
According to the New Testament in the Bible, Jesus spent more than half of his ministry around the Sea of Galilee and performed most of his miracles here.
When you get to a good viewpoint, which there are many to be had, you can see almost the entire expanse of the sea. While witnessing this beauty, it is not hard to imagine why people would want to spend so much time here.
There are plenty of adventures available while visiting the Sea of Galilee such as water activities, tours on the Kinneret, building rafts, and more.
When doing activities on the water, you may want to keep the bikini in the suitcase. While the attire here isn’t as modest as it is in Jerusalem, you still won’t be seeing a lot of skimpy outfits.
Wear something breathable and easy to dry, but not too revealing. Shorts and a t-shirt should be fine.
Take note when in this region if you are driving because parking is scarce and tight, and the roadways narrow and curvy.
Planning ahead can save you a lot of time and stress by finding where parking is available before you go. And don’t forget to write down detailed directions, along with calling the destination spot for landmarks to look out for.
