United Airlines is not accepting any registrations at this time for their PetSafe travel, which is pets flying in the cargo area. This is due to the recent media attention they have received for pet deaths.
Trained service animals are welcome on United Express aircrafts in the cabin, but only with their qualified owner.
You may think that options are limited with their cargo area off limits to all animals, but they still allow cats, dogs, rabbits, and birds on most flights in the cabin for a $125 charge each way.
All animals have to be in an approved carrier that can fit under the seat in front of you.
