Hustled At The Airport
Airport vendors see you coming a mile away.
They are looking to prey on new travelers, wanting to sell you everything from perfume to foreign currency.
Stay focused at the airport, and don’t get enticed on what looks like a “good deal”.
First off, don’t buy foreign currency at the airport.
Airports charge a steep price for convenience.
Instead, wait until you land and grab your cash at the ATM.
Sure, you’ll pay a small fee, but it’s pennies compared to what the airports will charge you.
Or even better, check out your credit card benefits, as many cards now waive their currency conversion fee.
If you plan enough ahead, you can even score one of these credit cards before you head overseas.
Second, always bring an empty water bottle – unless you’re cool with paying over $5 for a bottle of water.
And finally, if you’re really tempted to “shop” at the airport, remember everything you buy you will have to carry around with you.
