Most people, albeit begrudgingly, will put up with the annoyances of air travel like crowded planes and mask mandates because the benefits far outweigh the inconveniences.
And after surviving an intrusive pat-down by the TSA – one of the most-hated government agencies in America – people just want to get on the plane and get to their destination in peace.
But then there are those people who seem to make traveling miserable for everyone. And you won’t believe the latest roundup of unruly passengers and what they’ve done now.
No – we’re not talking about the mom trying to calm her sweet crying baby. We have grace and compassion for her!
Nor are we referring to the college student blaring his trendy music through his headphones –even though it’s incredibly annoying.
We’re talking about the ones who seem to have literally lost their minds when it comes to travel and have chosen to ignore any sense of travel etiquette.
So check out the worst of the worst of shameless travelers – but whatever you do, please, do not be that guy (or girl).
Putting Gum In Someone’s Hair – Who Does That!?
One lady decided to get comfortable on her flight and lay her long hair over the back of her seat, blocking the gal’s TV screen behind her.
Not cool.
But instead of politely tapping the lady and asking her to move her lovely locks, the ticked off passenger decided to take matters into her own hands.
The angry woman actually proceeded to place GUM in the lady’s hair – along with a lollipop – tangling it into a knotted mess.
But she didn’t stop there.
A viral TikTok video showed the woman continuing to take out her rage by actually CUTTING part of the woman’s hair that was blocking her screen – and then dunking it in her coffee!
I mean we get it – you want to watch TV – but there are better ways to handle yourself.
Looks like someone needs anger management!
Please – Cover Up Your Disgusting Feet
Some passengers get a little too comfortable and kick off their shoes and then walk around the plane barefoot.
Gross – and highly unsanitary – but to each their own, right?
But then there are those passengers who decide to stick their dirty feet into the gap between the seats, encroaching on the space of other travelers.
I mean… who could forget the viral photo of an unruly passenger jamming their bare feet in between the seats near the face of a baby!
Or the woman who popped a blister on her foot (gag) that shot puss and blood across the aisle and onto two dudes just trying to peacefully read their books.
Talk show host Andy Slater took to Twitter to share the incident with the world:
“Bloody mess on my flight to Miami. Woman in aisle seat has blister on her foot pop. Blood splatters across aisle, including on the two guys in front of me, one of their books, and the window,” Slater said. “Flight attendant says @MiamiDadeFire will have to meet flight.”
You just can’t make this stuff up.
Leave Your Pet At Home
Consistently ranking at the top of the list of people behaving badly are those who insist they can’t travel without their “emotional support” pet.
Of course, many people bring animals on planes who aren’t potty trained (or trained at all), causing some airlines to ban certain breeds of dogs – like pit bulls – after they’ve bitten airline employees.
Not to mention the mess (and smell) they leave all over the plane.
Apparently the “emotional rights” of a few passengers trumps all others – like those who have pet allergies or those who simply want to sit in their seat without Frodo licking their hand.
Just Don’t Be Annoying
You don’t really need to do anything special to fly – just don’t be a jerk.
Don’t talk to people if it’s clear they want to sleep or have work to do – and don’t recline your seat so the guy behind you has no space.
It’s all about common decency and respect.
And really – do your best to be mindful of other people and keep your personal bathroom habits and body parts to yourself!
Trust us, you don’t want to be “that guy” (or gal) going viral for the latest travel indecency!
