Liberals have not hidden the fact that they intend on killing children in the womb and releasing violent illegal immigrants until the nation has dropped to their knees.
New York has spearheaded much of the efforts with their lax laws on abortion and deportation.
Just when you thought the Empire State couldn’t lean any more to the left without toppling over, they compromise the safe and efficient travel of millions of New York citizens to protect the illegal status of those who have no respect for the due process needed to become a member of this fine nation.
The Trump administration has just recently put a ban on New York residents receiving access to the Global Entry program, which allows “pre-approved, low-risk travelers to receive expedited clearance through automatic kiosks at select airports upon arrival into the United States,” the U.S. Customs and Border Protection service explains.
Why was the traveling ban vital?
Governor Cuomo, a man who bleeds blue, enacted the “Green light law” in June of last year, but it just came into effect this past December.
This impetuous law allows undocumented immigrants to receive a license from the DMV, while simultaneously “prohibiting DMV agencies across the state from sharing criminal records with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE),” reports Fox News.
If illegal immigrants who were able to receive a New York drivers license obtained a Global Entry pass they could travel in and out of the United States despite not being a citizen.
ICE often screens DMV records to detain offenders who have broken the law while here illegally.
A list of fugitives that New York released into the public instead of handing them over to ICE was given to the press to show the type of people the state is allowing “sanctuary.”
Crimes the fugitives have committed in this country include “first, second and third degrees, attempted robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, gang assaults and other violent offenses,” Fox News informs us.
So Governor Cuomo wants criminals from other countries who have committed violent crimes against American citizens to freely live in New York and travel into the state unabated.
How will New York citizens be affected?
New York City is a international traveling hub that caters to over 60 million travelers a year.
According to a United States Department of Transportation 2018 report, John F. Kennedy International Airport is the busiest international airport in the US.
In order to safely inspect and patrol passengers who may be a danger to themselves or others, flyers who have already been vetted for trusted travel have access to the Global Entry program.
Travelers from New York rely on the expedited entry into the United States from traveling overseas so they can safely maneuver in and out of the airport away from potentially harmful situations, and with a convenience that gives them peace of mind.
The New York Times reports:
“Kenneth T. Cuccinelli, the acting deputy secretary of Homeland Security, said on Thursday that the approximately 175,000 New Yorkers currently enrolled in the programs who need to renew this year would be cut off by the end of 2020.”
However, the TSA pre-check kiosks will not be affected by the ban, and New York residents will still have access to this option to expedite the customs process.
What will happen from here?
New York State Attorney General Letitia James is suing the Department of Homeland Security and DHS Secretary Chad Wolf for barring New York residents access to Global Entry and other Trusted Traveler Programs, according to Fox News.
James is trying to make a case against DHS and DHS Secretary Chad Wolf, claiming that the state is being denied access to the programs for retribution after enacting the “Green Light Law.”
Acting Secretary Chad Wolf denies these claims stating to Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures”:
“This has nothing to do with the law that they passed regarding providing driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. Again, that’s wrong, that’s dangerous, and that’s irresponsible, but that’s separate from what we did this week.”
Access to the state’s DMV data allows the CBP to do proper security checks on applicants for programs such as Global Entry, Wolf stressed.
Court proceedings regarding the State Attorney General’s decision to sue the DHS could take some time, and will likely end in a waste of New York tax dollars.
Governor Cuomo has expressed interest in meeting with Trump on the matter, but it is unclear a sensible compromise by the insensible governor can be reached.
Liberal politicians have continued to let dangerous illegal immigrants run rampant in the streets with no regard to the safety of American citizens.
The open border agenda brings shame and danger to a country many men and women are risking their lives to protect.
If you are a New York resident and American citizen affected by the Global Entry ban write to your New York representatives on how you would like your interests and safety to be considered.
