After years of mask mandates and lockdowns – Americans were finally looking forward to traveling again.
But thanks to Biden’s record-high inflation, many Americans fear their holiday travel plans will be ruined – again.
But don’t give up hope just yet. While you may have to adjust your vacation plans to accommodate the skyrocketing cost of fuel – and, well, everything else – you can still travel this holiday season if you implement a few of our savvy tips.
Book Your Flight First
While you may find a killer deal at a hotel or Airbnb – don’t even think about booking it until you’ve secured your flight.
Many people make the mistake of booking “bargain deal” accommodations – only to realize the cost of their flight is three times higher than what they budgeted for.
If you’re flexible on when you can travel, scour the web for the best flight deals and check for flights on random weeks and days and you can shave hundreds off your flight.
And if you’re really adventurous – consider being open to where you travel – oftentimes choosing a random destination at a good roundtrip price can become the best vacation you’ve ever had.
Watch Out For Hidden Fees
If you’re planning to use your credit card when traveling overseas – make sure you aren’t paying an insane foreign transaction fee.
While it may seem minimal – those fees really do add up.
Also, check and see what travel benefits your credit card offers – whether it’s rental car insurance or discounts at your favorite hotel chain.
In most cases though, it’s best to use the local currency and decline offers to convert the credit charges to USD.
Don’t Fall Prey To Tourist Traps
Sure tourist traps are popular for a reason, but there is definitely a markup.
And unless you’ve got money to burn – you’ll want to stay clear of the “popular restaurant” with a line wrapped around the building.
To start – the food probably isn’t as good or authentic as you’d find at the local whole-in-the-wall.
In addition – you’ll likely pay a higher price for a mediocre meal just to say you ate at a certain restaurant.
Not worth it.
When I was in El Salvador, we went for pupusas at a touristy restaurant – and I thought the $2.50 they charged was a good price…
… but then when I ate at a local neighborhood restaurant – their pupusas were only $.30 and tasted ten times better!

Don’t Let Biden Ruin Your Holiday Season – Again
The most important thing to remember is not to let Biden and his leftist cronies ruin your holiday travel plans – again.
Yes – his disastrous financial policies continue to harm free-loving Americans all across the country – but don’t let him win!
Even if you have to shorten your trip or sleep on a friend’s couch instead of a hotel…
… get out there and travel.
The only moment we are guaranteed is today, so go hug your loved ones and explore the world – while you still can.
