Biden’s disastrous COVID policies continue to trickle down into the travel industry – causing staffing shortages and flight cancellations.
But one airline has gone to the extreme in trying to compensate for its lack of employees by actually ripping seats out of their aircraft.
And just wait until you hear the drastic measures airlines are taking to adapt to the chaos.
Ripping seats out of the plane?
No, we aren’t talking about a drunk passenger who had a little too much to drink and got violent.
There is such a shortage in flight attendants – airlines are scrambling to find solutions.
But EasyJet took things to a whole other level – and they actually ripped out an entire row of seats in order to limit the number of passengers because the cabin crew was so understaffed.
Paddle Your Own Kanoo reported:
“When Airbus first designed the A319, the maximum seating capacity was deliberately below the threshold to allow a three crew operation but easyJet managed to install an extra row of seats on its aeroplanes by retrofitting the planes with special space-saving toilets.
In normal times, those additional seats drive some welcome additional revenue but, like many airlines, easyJet is struggling to recruit enough staff to keep up with the surge in travel demand.
As result, sources claim the airline will temporarily remove one row of six seats from some A319 aircraft so that the aircraft can be operated with just three crew members.”
Who would have thought we’d reach a day when airlines are so desperate to have enough crew members to staff their flights – they’re physically ripping seats out of their planes so passengers can’t book them?
Obviously Biden’s tyrannical mandates are still impacting the travel industry.
When things were shut down – airlines reduced their staff…
… not realizing that by gutting their employees, they’d be in a world of hurt once things opened back up.
And sure enough, once Americans were able to travel again, the airports were so busy – and airlines so short-staffed – they were actually begging their flight attendants and even pilots to “volunteer” their time to help clean loyalty lounges.
Like a pilot has nothing better to do on his day off than clean a lounge!
Many flight attendants moved on to other jobs or quit because they were tired of being yelled at by angry passengers for enforcing Biden’s mask mandate.
TSA may have enjoyed their burst of power after Biden gave them the authority to fine travelers – but they weren’t prepared for the influx of travelers either (not surprisingly) – and security lines wrapped all the way around the airport in some places.
And although things have started to (somewhat) resemble the good ol’ days of travel – we aren’t out of the crisis yet.
So expect more flight cancellations, delays… and maybe even a few missing seats the next time you fly.
What are your thoughts on EasyJet ripping seats out of their own aircraft due to staffing issues?
