Have backup identification
We all try to keep our ID’s, money, and passports in a safe place when traveling.
Unfortunately, sometimes unforeseen events happen, like you forgot to zip your purse after paying at the market or your essentials bag went overboard on a kayaking adventure.
Don’t put yourself in a position to be stuck worrying about getting another passport or driver’s license in a foreign land while all those picture perfect moments pass you by.
Take a photo copy of all passports, driver’s licenses, and credit cards, then email them to yourself. Keep a copy in your phone as well so they are easily accessible in case something happens.
You can also make emergency nametag necklaces for the kids, especially if they are younger. Include their name, your phone number, and where you are staying in case they ever get separated from you.
